Earn 1099

Maximize Your Independence
Welcome to Earn1099.com,

Thanks for being here.  Becoming an independent can be incredibly rewarding and full of benefits and freedom, and can also come with a steep learning curve and lots of questions.

Did you know that recent studies say up to 75 Million people currently identify as independent contractors or part of the gig economy and that number is expected to rise drastically over the next 10 years?

I've been an independent contractor for almost 20 years.  In that time I've recruited, trained, and managed thousands of independent sales reps and was responsible for over $50 Million in direct customer sales.  I love the freedom and lifestyle of being an independent and what it allows for my career and family.  I fell in love with the challenge of improving myself and my skills in order to scale my value and earnings quickly.  I love not having to count how many vacation days I have left.  Most importantly, I'm striving to be known as a family man with a great business instead of a great businessman with a family.

I started this site because there was nothing like it when I was new to the IC world.  I rode the emotional rollercoaster as results fluctuated.  Plenty of mistakes were made and lessons learned with topics ranging from taxes and savings to leadership and coaching.  I learned a lot along the way and had some special mentors I leaned on to help me progress.

My goal with 1099Rocks.com is to provide insightful and valuable blog posts from myself and others and link to other resources that may be of interest to this audience.  With any luck, we'll continue to build up a solid resource library for independents and assist them in navigating their careers in a powerful way.

With the right information and education, being an independent can provide significant advantages and help you earn more, save more, and enjoy your work more.

Thanks for helping us make this a great place for independents to share and learn together,
